Introduction:
Hey there! If you've ever found yourself lost in the colorful world of anime like I have, you might just relate to my journey. From flipping through dubbed cartoon shows on TV to diving headfirst into the realm of Japanese anime, I've been on quite the ride. In this blog post, I'm excited to share how my love for anime led me down the path of becoming a character artist.
How i first Discovered Anime?:
Okay, picture this: me, sitting in front of the TV, glued to shows like Doraemon, Shin Chan, Beyblade, and Pokémon. Little did I know, these were just the tip of the anime iceberg. It wasn't until I stumbled upon Anime Music Videos (AMVs) on YouTube that I realized there was a whole universe of anime out there waiting to be explored. They were different from those Anime i see on TV ( You can only see Doraemon, Shin chan, Bayblade, Pokemon etc. here ), dealing with real stuff, not just kiddie things. It was like finding a secret door to a place I never knew existed.
Starting of watching Anime:
I soon figured out those music videos were actually Anime series just like Doraemon & Pokemon etc. So, I started watching any Anime I could find on YouTube, even the ones in Japanese with English subtitles. It was tough at first, but I got the hang of it and even picked up a bit of Japanese along the way! but boy, was it worth it! The stories, the characters, the animation everything just hit different.
Curiosity to learn more about Anime:
As I delved deeper into the world of anime, I couldn't help but wonder: how do they make these characters come to life? Cue my deep dive into research mode. I wanted to know everything, how characters were designed, how animations were created, you name it.
Learning 3D for Anime?:
Now, here's the thing: I'm not exactly a Picasso when it comes to 2D art. But hey, I wasn't about to let that stop me from creating my own anime-inspired artwork. That's when I stumbled upon 3D art. I saw how other artists were using it to bring anime characters to life, and I thought, "Hey, I want to learn this!"
Practice and Learning:
Learning 3D modeling was no walk in the park, let me tell you. There were plenty of ups and downs, but I was determined to get the hang of it. With practice, practice, and more practice, I started to see improvement. And before I knew it, I was creating characters that I could actually be proud of. I am really thankful to my mentors who tough me about 3d at the beginning, after that i was just practicing and watching a lots of tutorials on YouTube. And before I knew it, I was creating characters that I could actually be proud of, It was definitely not what i can do today but it was something that made me want to become character artist.
Chasing My Dreams:
Fast forward a bit, and here I am, dreaming big. I've got this an idea to create my own anime It's a daunting task, no doubt about it, but I'm ready to take it on. At the time of writing this post I'm already done with my Pre-Production part and working on 3d ( Production Part ), and pouring my heart and soul into making it happen.
Conclusion:
So, there you have it my journey from anime fan to become a character artist. It's been a wild ride, full of ups, downs, and everything in between. But through it all, one thing remains clear: my love for anime and the characters it brings to life will always fuel my creative journey.
